Very unusual form Spode blue tower dough proofer or rising bin. This piece has a base with two handles and a tall lid with 5 small holes in the top with a handle at the top. It measures 11" tall by 11" handle to handle by 9 1/2" across. It is marked Spode 753 with some wear at the top handle likely from manufacturing. Extremely rare from on this early piece of Spode Blue Tower. Circa 1815. Made in England. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Some toning as pictured on the bottom piece that could likely be cleaned professionally. We can have this done for you at our cost. Here's a pair of matching, canister style, lamps by Spode, of England. The pattern is called "Blue Italian". Blue Italian began manufacture in 1962 and features blue scenes on a white body. The porcelain "canister" bodies of these lamps have solid bright brass tops and bases. The bases have four leaf shaped feet.The outer dimension of the footed bases is 6 3/8". The porcelain bodies are about 4 1/4" diameter. Height to the top of the flat area of the brass tops is about 8", 14" to the top of the sockets, and 23" to the top of the brass finials. The shades measure 12 1/4" diameter at the bottom and 10" tall.I have loaded a photo of both lamps/shades from all four sides, along with one of the mark and base of each. The porcelain is perfect with no wear, repair or damage. One brass base is a bit spotty (I didn't polish it.) but the other looks like new, as do both tops. Both shades have slight discolorations (some of which is yellowed glue). One shade has a couple of stains/spots. I've shown the worst in a close up photo but have run out of photo spots for the other. It's a single small dark spot on the opposite side of that shade. IF YOU DON'T WANT THE SHADES THEN THE SHIPPING CAN BE REDUCED. Please message for a quote. Both lamps have their original 3 way turn switches, sockets, and cords.
